South Downs Odyssey
Odýssey n. a long, wandering and eventful journey!

Some people choose to walk the South Downs Way in a week, some bike it in  a day, we took the more leisurely approach, starting on April 10 2014 and finishing on October 10 2016. It took us 22 days, walking about 5 miles each leg of the trail. We weren’t being lazy! We required good weather (for the photos) definitely no rain, not too cold, not too hot (all that extra water to carry added to the weight going uphill)  and obviously times when we were both free, which was easier said than done. Sometimes we took two cars, most of the time just the one, relying on public transport to get us to the start or finish of each walk. We have become fitter, especially since the arrival of the Fitbits and we have had a lot of fun. This website seemed the ideal way for us to celebrate our achievement and to share this with family and friends.
